I’m D. Nicholas — a writer shaped by a life that taught me to pay attention to the quiet, often-overlooked spaces where people break, rebuild, and become something new.

I’m from Romania originally, although i haven’t been home in quite some time.. Something i plan to change soon. I always had a passion for writing and reading since i was a child, being fascinated by the infinite worlds reading or writing takes you to and the feelings it allows you to feel. Growing up, this passion grew alongside me, started from writing notes in class to poems for loved ones and plans for a book release.
The years spent at home, while challenging, helped shape my voice and sharpen my instinct to look beneath the surface, to listen before speaking, and to write with honesty instead of ornament.

Breathe Again – Where Smoke Ends, Life Begins is the first story I chose to share with the world. It’s a book born from the struggle between self-destruction and self-restoration, from the thin but powerful line between losing yourself and finding the courage to start again. Though the novel stands on its own, much of its emotional truth comes from what I’ve seen, lived, or carried with me.

I write for anyone who has ever felt the weight of their own choices…
and for anyone who still hopes to become more than the worst of their moments.
